IAEA technical meeting and Erasmus+ dissemination

International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) “Technical Meeting on Methodological Approaches in Radiation Science and Technology Education “ was held from 03 July to 07 July, 2023 in Institute of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology (INCT), Warsaw, Poland. 14 experts from 11 countries located in Asia, American and Europe regions participated in this technical meeting (TM) . IAEA technical officer Ms. Maria Helena FREITAS CASIMIRO was in charge of this technical meeting. Prof. A.G. Chmielewski, director of INCT opened this technical meeting and introduced INCT activities of Radiation science and technologies to the participants.. Local coordinator was Dr. Yongxia Sun, INCT Prof.

This technical meeting was first initiated by Erasmus+ KA2 project “Joint innovative training and teaching/learning program in enhancing development and transfer knowledge of application of ionizing radiation in materials processing” (Project acronym: TL-IRMP, AGREEMENT NUMBER 2014-1-PL01-KA203-003611) which was coordinated by INCT, 6 partners participated in this project (tl-irmp.eu). The course module “APPLICATIONS OF IONIZING RADIATION IN MATERIALS PROCESSING ”and textbook entitled “Application of ionizing radiation in materials process ”have been developed in this project.

Erasmus+ KA2 project TL-IRMP was presented to all participants by Erasmus+ coordinator INCT Prof. Yongxia Sun, Erasmus+ KA131 and KA171 projects were also disseminated.

During this technical meeting, experts had a short technical visit to sterilization station. It is concluded that e-learning course with on-site practice will be good approach in Radiation Science and Technology Education.
