National Security Council meeting concerning nuclear power

On 28 April 2011 at seat of the National Security Agency the meeting of the National Security Council with the participation of invited experts took place. During the meeting issues concerning safety of nuclear power were discussed. The Council meeting was attended by nuclear safety expert Prof. Andrzej Strupczewski (the Institute of Atomic Energy), Prof. Władysław Mielczarski – member of the European Energy Institute (the Institute of Electrical Power, Technical University of Łódź), Prof. Andrzej Chmielewski – Chairman of the Council for Atomic Energy (the Institute of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology) and Prof. Jan Popczyk from the Institute of Electrical Power and Control Systems, Technical University of Silesia. The similar meeting of the National Security Council, where issues related with the Polish energy security were discussed with particular emphasis on the future of Polish nuclear power, took place on 24 March 2011. The meeting was attended by invited guests: Minister Mrs.Hanna Trojanowska – Polish Government Plenipotentiary for Nuclear Energy and Dr. Janusz Włodarski – President of the National Atomic Energy Agency.
