The international conference "9th Meeting of the Ionizing Radiation and Polymers Symposium" (IRaP2010) took place in College Park, Maryland, United States On 25-29 October 2010. The conference was attended by about 100 participants including many prominent researchers working in the field of radiation chemistry. The conference was devoted to the latest trends in a use of ionizing radiation in science, industry and nanotechnology.

A poster session was organized in the frame of the conference and some posters were rewarded by international evaluation committee. One of the awarded posters was a work of INCT PhD student Ms. Marta Walo with co-authors: Grażyna Przybytniak, Pinar Akkas Kavakli, Murat Barsbay, Olgun Güven. The title of awarded work is: “Radiation-induced graft modification of polyurethanes based on isophorone diisocyanate for biomedical applications”.
