The role of some factors influencing radiation dose measurements have been investigated.
The dose was measured with a PVC film dosimeter – a technique in use at the Institute of
Nuclear Chemistry and Technology (INCT). The factors studied were the following: warming time
of the irradiated films, time elapsing between irradiation and read-out of absorbance and an
unknown so far factor – the presence or lack of a strong stream of air during warming of the film.
