A set experimental data on pre-scission neutron multiplicities in fusion-fission reactions has been analysed in terms of the time-dependent statistical model with the fission hindrance described using the Kramers-Grange-Weidenmuller formalism. Values of the dimensionless dissipation coefficient g have been deduced for 14 composite systems, in a wide range of nuclear temperatures from 1.2 to 3.0 MeV. The results show no clear effect of a dependence of g on the temperature.
