The existing information on (n,p) reaction cross-sections around 14.5 MeV neutron energy has been reviewed for the interval 19 £ A £ 209 and an empirical expression for the calculation of (n,p) reaction cross-sections has been obtained by fitting the available experimental values as a function of A, s = (N - Z)/A and (En - Eth), where A is the target nucleus mass number, s is the target nucleus asymmetry parameter, En and Eth are the incident neutron energy and the (n,p) reaction threshold energy, respectively. It is seen that our empirical formula gives good fits with the experimental values.
