SLOWING DOWN AND TRACK STRUCTURE OF POSITRONS AND MUONS IN ORIDINARY AND HEAVY WATER

Slowing down of positrons, electrons and muons in light and heavy water is considered. Thermalization lengths and times are calculated. The results are in reasonable agreement with positronium formation probability in H2O and D2O.
