Positron lifetime spectra and angular distributions of annihilation radiation were measured in acenaphthylene at various stages of polymerization. Positronium formation probability is largest at the early stage of process, when the molecular weight is only twice of that for monomer. Further polymerization does not change the o-Ps lifetime substantially, but reduces the intensity of that component.
