On the basis of the Bethe-Goldstone equation the practical formulae for calculating electron-positron wave function in real metals have been obtained. The calculations have been performed for Li and Nb. The discussion concentrates here on the enhancement effect of the wave functions. In general, electron-positron densities (contact functions) are shifted towards the center of the elementary cell in comparison t the figures based on local density approximations to enhancement factors calculated from theories of the positron in an electron gas.
