Positron lifetime measurements for some selected vinyl polymers have been performed. Samples have been made of: polyvinyl chloride, polyvinyl alcohol, polymethyl methacrylate, polystyrene, and polyvinyl acetate. A conventional slow-fast coincidence lifetime spectrometer with plastic scintillators has been used for the lifetime measurements. All the measurements have been performed in air, at room temperature. Mean free volumes radii have been calculated form the positron lifetime data.
