Typical electron spectroscopy methods using synchrotron radiation beam are briefly reviewed. The X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy (XAS) methods as chemical shift of X-ray absorption edges, X-ray Absorption Near Edge Structure (XANES) and Extended X-ray Absorption Fine Structure (EXAFS) are discussed, Basic features of the Auger Electron Spectroscopy (AES) and integrated photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS, UPS) as well as the recently applied Angle Resolved Photoelectron Spectroscopy (ARPES) are also presented.
