RADIOTRACER GLASS FURNACES INVESTIGATIONS

The methodology and results of radiotracer investigation of a furnace for flat glass production are presented. Lanthanum oxide activated in a nuclear reactor was used as glass tracer. The dynamic characteristic of the furnace and principal parameters of its operation were determined. The glass flow model in the furnace was proposed.
