Single crystals Pb1-x-y SnxMny Te alloys were grown by the Bridgman method. The nominal values of x and y were 0.29 < x < 0.80 and 0.01 < y < 0.16. The investigations were carried out using SEM, ED EPMA and X-ray diffraction on powders. Analysis of the real chemical composition of the samples showed that any inappropriate ratio of concentrations of Pb and Sn leads to creation of MnTe2 precipitates.
