Radon is a gas which occurs in geological environment and is transported to the surface of the ground. In order to delineate regions where radon emanations are likely to occur it is necessary to know such factors as geological structure of the country, distribution of radioactive elements, various types of rocks, porosity and impermeability of rocks.
In this paper natural factors affecting the formation of radon emanation have been discussed.
