An analog meter of the quality factor is presented. The device makes possible direct determination of the quality factor in mixed radiation fields. The operational principle of the instrument is based on the theory of local recombination of ions and a specially designed recombination chamber is used as a detector. The device is extremely simple in operation and can be used for radiation protection purposes.
