Certified reference materials are used as an important tool in analytical quality control programs in chemical laboratories. Two CRMs of geological /environmental origin and four of biological origin have been prepared. Certification was based on world-wide inter-laboratory comparison runs followed by evaluation of results with the aid of (AQCS-1 pogram).
