Prof. Piotr Urbański, D.Sc., Ph.D.



Dr Piotr Urbanski was born in 1937. He graduated from the Department of Telecommunication of the Warsaw University of Technology in 1960. In 1958 he began to work at the Institute of Nuclear Research at Swierk near Warsaw where he obtained his Ph.D. degree in Technical Sciences in 1967. Since 1983 he has been working at the Institute of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology (Warsaw) as Head of the Department of Radioisotope Instruments and Methods. In 1990 he received his D.Sc. degree in Physics from the Academy of Mining and Metallurgy at Cracow. He became an associate professor in 1990 and a professor in 1997.
He is the author and co-author of over 40 publications. His research interest include metrology, measuring instruments, radiometric measurements.
