"Saudi Aramco was awarded the National Oil Companies (NOC) Environmental Stewardship Award for its ground breaking research on Electron Beam Flue Gas Treatment (EBFGT) technology. For the first time in the world, EBFGT has been successfully demonstrated on removing air pollutants from liquid fuel fired boiler flue gas. Environmental Protection Department (EPD) in collaboration with the King Abdulaziz City of Science and Technology (KACST) and the Institute of Nuclear Chemistry & Technology (INCT), Warsaw, Poland conducted the research utilizing the laboratory facility at INCT."
